Record and measure the actual deck layout and compare to the Client CAD as-built model that was used to prepare layout drawings used for deck planning purposes.

Laser scanning minimises interference with on-going vessel turnaround and provides a complete asbuilt record which can be used to overlay existing client deck models for direct comparison. The image on the left below shows an area of the deck as recorded in the Clients as-built 3D CAD model.
The image on the right shows the scan data overlayed onto the model and highlights missing and incorrect information; missing bollards, equipment and crane access platform information.
